Good News！Darius won a Bronze Award in COMC
1.Do you think you are good at math? How is your usual math score in class?
I can't say I'm good at math，my math is just above the average in class. But because the math curriculum in American high school is easier than Chinese, the foundation laid in middle school is still very useful. So, we generally do good in math.
2.How did you feel during the competition?
In the competition, I was not really nervous, probably because I had this competition in my own school.
3.Which aspect of knowledge and ability do you think to be focused on in this competition?
The content of the examination paper was not as much as I thought but it was very difficult. It investigates students' adaptability to the test questions and their close logical thinking.
4.What did you do when encounter the difficulties?
When I had the difficulties, I listed the conditions one by one and tried to find the connection. At the same time, I will carefully recall similar examples and find some solutions.
5.What was your most impressive subject?
The first one! Unexpectedly, I was confused by the first question. At that time, I was too nervous to think that I could not work out any questions. But I immediately adjusted my mind and continued to answer next questions. The result is quite satisfied.
6.What was your first reaction when you heard the news of the award?
When I heard the news of the award, I was surprised. The first reaction was whether the teacher had made a mistake. After confirming, I was still very happy, did not expect to have such a good ranking. After all, I am not the best person in mathematics. Even when I saw the certificate, I still feel incredible.
7.Can you share your experience in learning math?
To learn mathematics, we should not only do more exercises, but also understand the knowledge.
